"Caldwell ranked #1"
Oct-21-13, 07:28 AM (CST)
I told you boys way back what was up!
Believe me now don't you?
10-0, district champs, a shot at John Curtis in the dome.
Bring it to Caldwell Parish boys, its ours!

This Patterson team is scary. I have only missed two games this year and not allowing donaldsonville to score on the defense was great. Clicking at the right time. The first two games helped out. Should have beat Brother Martin tho.

I certainly don't see anyone left in regular season that will prevent Caldwell from going 10-0.

Nice to see your enthusiasm, but lets not get too excited there Sparky. There are several teams in 3A that would beat Caldwell. Take away the FIVE select teams that would all beat them and they are still not the best team in 3A. I personally think three loss North Webster would beat Caldwell. If Caldwell had North Webster's schedule they would have at least three losses. Aside from NW, you have Livonia, Iowa, and I even think Church Point would beat them, some of this of course being based on performances against teams they have played. I have not actually seen Caldwell, nor a few of the other tams mentioned, but to say JC in the dome...you still have University, eCA, ND, and Parkview Bapt. that would all blow Caldwell away.

The other issue is that Caldwell will not see JC, ECA or a Parkview Baptist in the playoffs, never mind the dome. Caldwell is non-select and those mentioned are select. In the non-select ranks they still have to go through teams like Union Parish, Iowa, Livonia, Patterson, West Feliciana & Church Point. Tough rows to ##### there. However, I wish Bo and his boys luck. Caldwell has gotten their hopes up in the past. It would be nice to see them pull it all together for North Louisiana in the 3A ranks.

correct you are my friend...I should have made my last statement more clear. My point was to say that if there were no split, the likelihood of meeting JC in the dome would be super slim, because they would have to beat some of those other teams mentioned in order to get there.

I agree. Either way, they still have to run a gauntlet of good teams. Who knows? This may be their year. It has to happen for some team.

If Marksville was fully loaded right now, there would be a great chance. They have been playing very short handed. I am not sure how many will be out this week. Hopefully, it will be a good game.

I couldn't agree with you more. North Webster's 3 losses have all come to legit teams. They played pretty tough competition. I look forward to seeing them making a deep run in the playoffs.

I'd also be willing to say Westlake could beat them. Westlake is very good despite their record they have just underacheived. Not too mention they have had a very tough schedule with Sam Houston being their only non district opponent with a losing record and they are 5A and a rival school. But I said it once and I'll keep riding on these words. Jennings is the sleeper they also played a tough non district schedule with Winnfield being the only one that wasn't a 4-A school.

South Beau is 4-3 if you would consider that down. That game was a fluke too. Westlake did come close to beating Patterson. And they are the only team to beat DeRidder, Kinder, and lost to Crowley by 1.

I tend to agree. South Beau and Westlake both have had similar seasons filled with ups and downs.

How poetic would it be that Rayville and Caldwell met in the playoffs?

I mean, regardless of SOS, the programs have went diffrent directions since Barton was forced out of Rayville.
